The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is now full implementing the Body Worn Camera Project. Beginning April 1, 2025, members of the community will begin seeing deputies equipped with body worn cameras during their daily duties.

Elizabeth Nicole Taylor of McGaheysville was sentenced to eight years in prison during a hearing Tuesday in Rockingham County Circuit Court for embezzling money from the Cub Run Elementary School PTA. However, a judge suspended seven of those years, according to online records.
The crash occurred Saturday, March 29, at 5:15 p.m. on the 5000 block of Orchard Drive.
