The City of Harrisonburg is designing improvements to South Main Street in the vicinity of the Exit 243 interchange and extending to Mosby Road, that will include safety benefits and improve operations at intersections to reduce delay.

The public review of the draft will run until April 4, 2025.

Public meeting is Thursday, March 13, where community can suggest reconfigurations.

The Harrisonburg City School Board continues to work on a plan to move a number of students to different elementary schools as a solution to ease overcrowding.

The Harrisonburg projects are for Harrisonburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority for the two projects involving the Bluestone Town Center and another is for the Beverly Searles Foundation for the Harrisonburg Family one project.
