Sheriff Chris Hartless posted special recognition of Staunton City police Sergeant Charles Minix for his response to a nearby call for help while off-duty last Sunday, May 18th at Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is currently responding to reports of gunshots heard in the area of the Wilson School Complex.

Staunton was ranked 8th out of 23 best places to live in Virginia.

The Harrisonburg Water Treatment Plant has now resumed operating at full service thanks to community water conservation efforts.

The beloved Grottoes Pool is officially reopening on Saturday, May 24 at 11am.

The first was approving proposed changes to the elementary school schedule to add 10 minutes to the day.  The second was the approval of a retention bonus for all staff.
