ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Turner Ashby Knights powered their way to a 2026 high school football season opening win 41-6 over Fort Defiance at Turner Ashby on Friday night.

The Knights were led by Sophomore quarterback Colton Jennings with four touchdown passes in total, three of those to wide receiver Cooper Smith.

William Nicely had a touchdown reception and an interception and Colton Pence had a touchdown and an interception as well.

Ethan Farrish had over 100 yards and a rushing touchdown for the Knights effort as well.

Defensive end Samuel Loveless had multiple tackles and plays affected for the Knights who really dominated both lines of scrimmage in the runaway win.
