ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Sign work and tree removal operations may affect your commute this week in the Valley.
Brian Baer with the Virginia Department of Transportation says Rockingham County drivers should be on the lookout for shoulder closures on Interstate 81.
“Watch for northbound and southbound right shoulder closures between Pleasant Valley and Tenth Legion for sign work, including the exit 257 off ramps toward Mauzy, Broadway, and Timberville.”
This daytime work takes place Monday through Friday.
Meanwhile, in Augusta County on Route 342-Scenic Highway, Baer notes there will be flagger traffic control for tree removal on between Route 754-Badger Road and Route 250-Hankey Mountain Highway.
The daytime project will reportedly continue through early September.
