IRVING, Texas. (JMU Athletics) – James Madison lacrosse swept the American Conference weekly awards, earning all five honors as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Earning the honors were Olivia Matthews as Attack Player of the Week, Harlowe Healey as Midfielder of the Week, Olivia Rongo as Defensive Player of the Week, Abigail Beattie as Goalkeeper of the Week, and Jolie Schiavo as Freshman of the Week.

The Dukes completed a 2-0 week with victories over No. 24 Richmond and Vanderbilt to help grow JMU’s current winning streak to four. The pair of wins allowed JMU to return to the rankings for the first time since February, clocking in at No. 25 in the IWLCA Division I Coaches’ Poll.

Matthews contributed a total of seven goals, three assists, three ground balls, a caused turnover, and seven draw controls over JMU’s two wins last week. The sophomore’s 3.2 goals per game in conference play lead the American Conference.

Healey earns the first weekly honor of her career after totaling 17 draw controls and a caused turnover during JMU’s games last week. The Beverly Farms, Mass. native’s 128 total draw controls and 8.00 draw controls per game both rank first in the American.

Rongo secures her third weekly honor of the season. The seniors’ eight caused turnovers, and five ground balls helped JMU grab a pair of wins this week. With four caused turnovers against Vanderbilt, Rongo’s 52 caused turnovers this season tie the program’s single-season record set by Mairead Durkin in 2022.

Beattie is recognized as Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season. The sophomore made four saves at No. 24 Richmond and nine against Vanderbilt, posting a .400 save percentage over the two games.

Schiavo earns her second Freshman of the Week award of 2026. The Smithtown, N.Y. native contributed on both ends of the field this week, scoring a goal, causing three turnovers, and grabbing six ground balls to help JMU extend its current winning streak to four.

The Dukes return to action on Saturday, April 25, with an American Conference contest at Old Dominion. First draw is scheduled for 1 p.m.
