I-81 North to Route 33 to have ramp closures overnight November 2-3 in Harrisonburg

This closure will allow crews to perform shoulder widening work as part of the I-81 Widening Harrisonburg project.

HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Interstate 81 North ramps to Route 33 (exits 247 A-B) will be closed from 8 p.m. Monday, November 2, through 7 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, and again from 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, through 7 a.m. Wednesday, November 4.

The Virginia Department of Transportation said motorists should follow the posted detour.

This closure will allow crews to perform shoulder widening work as part of the I-81 Widening Harrisonburg project. All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
