HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The American Cancer Society’s Harrisonburg/Rockingham Relay for Life announced that the 2027 Relay for Life will take place Saturday, May 1, 2027, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at its new home, the Rockingham Rec Center, located at 1 Rockingham Park Way, Penn Laird, Virginia.

Through a new partnership with Rockingham County, Relay for Life will be held at the county’s recreation center, reportedly providing participants, survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and supporters with a venue to celebrate hope, remember loved ones, and continue the fight against cancer.

“We are honored and excited to welcome the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to the Rockingham Rec Center,” said Kirby Dean, Director of Parks and Recreation for Rockingham County. “This facility was designed to bring our community together, and there are few more meaningful causes than supporting families affected by cancer. We look forward to seeing the Rec Center become a place where hope is celebrated, lives are honored, and our community unites to make a lasting impact in the fight against cancer.”
