SPARKS, Md. (BC Athletics) – Paige Mayers of the Bridgewater College women’s lacrosse team was selected to the USA Lacrosse all-American second team, as announced by the magazine Monday afternoon.
Mayers, a Glen Allen, Va native, received the first all-American honor of her career, and became the first Eagle to receive the nod since Amy Rafalski in 1998. During her 2026 campaign, Mayers shattered the single-season draw control record and single-game caused turnover record. Mayers also logged an ODAC defensive player of the week honor and an all-ODAC first team selection to her already stacked award display. The junior midfielder was selected to the USA Lacrosse preseason all-American team in January.
Mayers ranked third in the league in goals with 62 and fourth in points with 81. Mayers also led the league in ground balls, caused turnovers, and draw controls. Mayers’s 122 draw controls not only led the ODAC but also ranked 15th in division III.
Mayers was one of seven ODAC players to be recognized to either team or receive an honorable mention.
