BRIDGEWATER, VA (Rocktown Now) — Bridgewater Volunteer Fire and Bridgewater Police Foundation will be holding their first annual charity softball game.

The game will be on Saturday, September 26 at 1:00 pm at the Turner Ashby softball field. Gates will open at noon, and Cosmic Smoke-N-BBQ will be there with their food truck as well as an ice cream truck.

Emergency vehicles will also be present for kids to explore. Admission is free of charge, but donations will be accepted and appreciated.

According to Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company Captain William Harrison, the Bridgewater Police Foundation is a non-profit organization that is separate from the Town. It was created to support the Bridgewater Police Department. Its team will be made up of Bridgewater Police Officers, Dayton Police Officers, and Officers from surrounding jurisdictions.

The Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company Team will consist mainly of Bridgewater Volunteer Firefighters with a couple of players from surrounding jurisdictions.
