ROANOKE, Va. (BC Athletics) – Brianna Curro recorded a hat trick and Laura Narby added two goals and an assist as the Bridgewater College women’s soccer team rolled to a 12-0 victory over Hollins Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened
• Narby opened the scoring in the fifth minute, setting the tone for a six-goal first half. Curro followed with goals in the ninth and 14th minutes off assists from Cassandra Villafan and Narby, respectively. Sophia Phillips added an unassisted goal in the 16th minute to give the Eagles a 4-0 lead.
• Bridgewater continued building its advantage as CJ Sipling scored in the 30th minute before setting up Laney Fayard’s header off a corner kick in the 40th. Taylor Stiegler stopped Hollins’ lone shot in the 23rd minute, and BC entered halftime ahead 6-0 with a 21-1 advantage in shots.
• The Eagles scored three times in less than two minutes midway through the second half. Villafan finished off an assist from Elle Turner in the 65th minute, Narby added her second goal off a Phillips assist in the 66th, and Turner converted a Curro assist in the 67th to stretch the lead to 9-0.
• Curro completed her “hat” trick in the 70th minute on a header off an assist from Maryn Harris. Sipling added her second goal in the 81st minute with an assist from Ariel Thompson before Sarah Farally capped the scoring in the 83rd off a Lucy Larson assist. Bridgewater held Hollins without a shot after halftime to finish the shutout.
Match Notes
• Curro scored on all three of her shots and added an assist for seven points. Narby and Sipling each contributed two goals and an assist, while Stiegler and Rylee Asiello split the shutout with 45 minutes apiece.
• Zoe Baxter recorded 10 saves for Hollins. Caylie Nichols accounted for the home team’s lone shot.
• Bridgewater finished with a 36-1 advantage in shots, a 23-1 edge in shots on goal and all 14 corner kicks. Eight Eagles scored as BC recorded its third consecutive shutout.
What’s Next?
The Eagles will make the trip to Sweet Briar Saturday, Oct. 3. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
