AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) – A Staunton man is now in custody on multiple sexual assault-related charges.

Augusta County Sheriff Donald Smith reports that Chieiio Ja’Meze Davis was arrested yesterday, October 1, at his home at Briarwood Apartments in a joint-operation with the US Marshall’s Office that utilized local SWAT, K9, and Drone Teams from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

The 37-year-old Davis has been charged with multiple felonies including Assault and Battery of a Family Member – Third Offense, Strangulation, Abduction, and Rape.

The investigation is ongoing.

Davis is currently being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
