How It Happened
• Although the Quakers kicked off the action with an early 4-1 lead, the Eagles quickly recovered in the opening set. BC responded with a five-point scoring run then continued with another strong run as Reagan Stoop rocketed back-to-back kills for a commanding 10-5 edge. From there, it was all Bridgewater. Sarah Furst pummeled strong attacks while Stoop remained a force offensively to leverage a 21-12 lead. Agnes Alford sounded out the opening set with a final kill for a 25-16 first set score.
• The same offensive onslaught ruptured once more in the second set. Claire Griffith and Stoop helped the Eagles raise the advantage to 5-1 to start the set. The Crimson & Gold could not be stopped. Later in the set, the momentum fully sided the Eagles as Maecy Ann Frizzelle smacked consecutive strikes for an 18-9 landslide. BC ended the set on a five-point scoring run and closed with a 25-12 set score.
• The Quakers attempted an early lead advantage to take hold of momentum, but the Eagles had different plans. Soon after, a massive six-point burst ensued as Reagan Stoop helped push BC ahead for a 9-6 edge. Then, the recent Offensive Player of the Week honoree, Lindsay Kelley, got in on the attacking sequences to sneak quick attacks. The momentum stayed with the Eagles and they did not falter as they took the match in straight sets and closed the final set with a Reagan Stoop smackdown for a 25-14 set score.
