HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Each July the Salvation Army Red Kettles make an appearance for about 2 weeks to help raise additional funding for necessary and needed local programs.

The Salvation Army Christmas in July kettle campaign came in at $14,343.85 and that exceeds last year’s results of $11,290.29.

The Salvation Army said they are grateful to all the local volunteers who rang kettle bells and to everyone who donated to the summer-time fundraiser, because “Need Knows No Season!”
