HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance (HDR) will host its tenth annual Friendly City Fortune Mega Raffle this Saturday, July 25, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

According to HDR officials, the milestone fundraising event combines community celebration with prizes, including a $25,000 cash payout and three brand-new vehicles, all while supporting the programs and initiatives that reportedly strengthen Downtown Harrisonburg.

The Prize Lineup

This landmark tenth-raffle milestone features some of the most sought-after prizes in the fundraiser’s history, including:

  • Three Brand-New Vehicles: A 2026 Ford Ranger STX 4X4, a 2026 Kia K5 GT AWD, and a 2026 Subaru Ascent Limited AWD.
  • Luxury Escapes & Gear: A 7-Night Alaskan Cruise with airfare included, a Samsung 75″ Smart TV, a Blackstone Backyard Grill Kit, and a TREK Verve+ Lowstep LT E-Bike.
  • Massive Cash Payouts: 29 separate opportunities to win cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to the $25,000 grand prize.

How to Join

  • In Person: Watch the drawing live and in-person, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Friendly City Events (126 W Bruce St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). Guests may watch the whole event or drop in for a part.
  • At Home: Tune into the livestream. Real-time updates will also be posted on the website, with winners announced every 30 minutes on HDR’s Instagram (@DowntownHarrisonburg) and Facebook as well.

Tickets are $100 each and include two unique four-digit numbers, giving every ticket holder double the chance to win. Anyone age 18 or older can purchase tickets online at FriendlyCityFortune.com up until the morning of the drawing. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

“HDR is grateful for the community support we receive for the raffle. The proceeds help fund the various projects and programs that advance our mission and build a downtown that grows stronger each year,” remarks Andrea Dono, executive director of HDR.

HDR has committed $2,000 from the Friendly City Fortune raffle proceeds to help replace the bronze Mother Duck statue that was recently stolen from outside the Explore More Discovery Museum

Beyond the ducks, every ticket purchased supports HDR’s work to create a “vibrant, thriving downtown through programs and initiatives that benefit the entire community,” including:

  • Small Business Assistance: Powering our Bricks & Clicks Grant Program, which awarded $100,000 this year to help downtown businesses enhance their marketing efforts and improve their physical storefronts.
