HARRISONBURG VA:  (WSVA) In a reversal from last week, former James Madison University head football coach Curt Cignetti will not be on the sideline for the Dukes’ first-ever bowl game appearance after all.
J-M-U Director of Athletics Jeff Bourne said during a Thursday press conference that Cignetti had agreed to coach the team one last time during the bowl game.
However, the reigning Sun Belt coach of the year said during his introductory presser at Indiana University that “90 percent” of his attention would still be on his new job, and he wouldn’t be heavily involved in preparing his former team for their bowl.
Because of that, the schools now says associate head coach Damien Wroblewski will take the reins on December 23rd, when James Madison takes on Air Force in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas.
