STAUNTON, Va – Staunton Police report that an investigation into the online solicitation of minors has led to the arrest of 16 men.

The Department, which is a member agency of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, recently conducted the investigation.

Among those who were arrested include 60-year-old Jeffrey Wine of Staunton, 59-year-old Luis Betancourt of New Market, 28-year-old Jason Stover Smith Junior of Mount Solon, 52-year-old Tony Russell of Waynesboro, 49-year-old Gary McDorman and 41-year-old David Martin Hamilton, both of Rockingham.

Among the charges filed include Online Solicitation of a Minor under 15 as well as Attempted Indecent Liberties with a Minor.
