VERONA, Va – On Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 2:05 pm, Dustin Nathaniel Lindsay was taken into custody at a residence on Smitty Drive in Verona. He was arrested
without incident.

Lindsay is being held without bond at the Middle River Regional Jail.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Harrisonburg
Police Department, the United States Marshall’s Service and the Virginia State
Police for their assistance in the apprehension of Lindsay.

 

 

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in tracking down a Staunton man who is wanted on multiple charges, including forcible abduction.

Lieutenant Leslie Snyder said in a release that 30-year-old Dustin Nathaniel Lindsay is wanted on eight counts that include felony abduction by force, violating a protective order with a weapon, and breaking into a home with the intent to commit assault and battery.

Snyder said that Lindsey has been involved in multiple pursuits with deputies recently, and should be considered armed and dangerous.

He was last known to be driving a silver 2018 Hyundai Elantra with Virginia plates 71608-HP.

Anyone with information is asked to call Augusta County authorities as soon as possible.
