HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — In celebration of national Youth Art Month, Harrisonburg City Public Schools will sponsor a Youth Art Month exhibit during March. The show will be on view at the Valley Mall, 1925 E. Market St, Harrisonburg, 22801.

According to a release, an opening reception will be held in honor of the students on Saturday, March 7 from 11-1 PM. The show will be on view to the public from Saturday, February 28 through Thursday, April 30, 2026.

The Youth Art Month Show highlights artwork created by students from each school in Harrisonburg City. More than 200 pieces will be exhibited at the venue.

Pieces were selected for the show by the city school’s art teachers: Jauan Brooks and Kelley Shradley-Horst – Harrisonburg High School; Kate Duffy, Sarah Waldrop and Tisha McMillan – Rocktown High School; Joseph Arbaugh – Thomas Harrison Middle School; Valerie Smith – Skyline Middle School; Jennifer Cartwright – Bluestone Elementary School; Brooke Imber – Keister Elementary School; Eva Camunas – Spotswood Elementary School; Andrew Stravers – Stone Spring Elementary School; Emily Sheppard – Smithland Elementary School and Anna Stegmeier – Waterman Elementary School
