WAYNESBORO, Va – The case of the man accused of assaulting several people inside an Applebee’s in Waynesboro earlier this year is one step closer to being resolved.

According to online records, Terrell Daquan Williams of Staunton was indicted by a grand jury on five felony charges, including malicious wounding, during a hearing Monday in Waynesboro Circuit Court.

Police Sergeant Jamie Dunn said officers responded back on February 25th to reports of a man assaulting diners at the restaurant on Lew Dewitt Boulevard.

When authorities arrived, Williams had fled the scene, but was located a short time later after the vehicle he was driving crashed.

The 32-year-old Williams has a plea hearing set for September 8th.
