BRIDGEWATER, VA (Rocktown Now) — Bridgewater College has announced the schedule for Holiday Events for Fall 2025.

Monday, November 17 – Oratorio Choir Concert

  • Concert Hall, Carter Center for Worship and Music, 7 p.m.
    • The Oratorio Choir will perform Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise. It is a modern setting of the traditional Latin Mass, but with a unique twist: each movement is given an English title that reflects a metaphorical and emotional journey rather than a liturgical one. Gjeilo describes the work as a spiritual and human progression—from the ethereal and cosmic to the grounded and earthly.  

Thursday, December 4 – Journey of Lights

  • Bowman Hall third floor, 7-8:30 p.m.
    • Student presentations and foods representing holidays and seasonal traditions from around the world.
  • Kline Campus Center lobby, 8:30-9:30 p.m.
    • Musical performances, caroling and holiday food and drink.

Friday, December 5 – Holiday Extravaganza

  • Concert Hall, Carter Center for Worship and Music, 7:30 p.m.
    • One of the most popular musical performances of the year, the Holiday Extravaganza features the Chorale, Concert Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band and audience sing-alongs.

Saturday, December 6 – Holiday Extravaganza

  • Concert Hall, Carter Center for Worship and Music, 3 p.m.
    • One of the most popular musical performances of the year, the Holiday Extravaganza features the Chorale, Concert Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band and audience sing-alongs.
