CHARLESTON WV – (Rocktown Now)- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for several counties across West Virginia, with hazardous conditions expected to persist through 7:00 a.m. EST Tuesday.

Affected Areas:
Upshur, Southeast Fayette, Northwest Nicholas, Southeast Nicholas, Northwest Webster, Southeast Webster, Northwest Pocahontas, Northwest Randolph, and Southeast Randolph counties. Cities under the warning include Elkins, Summersville, Webster Springs, Cowen, Birch River, Meadow Bridge, Richwood, Holly River State Park, Snowshoe, Harman, Buckhannon, and Craigsville.
Forecast Details:

Snow Accumulation: 4 to 8 inches, with locally higher amounts possible.
Wind Gusts: Up to 45 mph, creating dangerous wind chills and blowing snow.
Timing: Conditions will continue until early Tuesday morning.
