HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The film will be screened in the Detwiler Auditorium, located at 1501 Virginia Ave. in Harrisonburg, on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Cycling Without Age follows the story of John Seigel-Boettner, a retired middle school teacher. He and his crew of volunteers take seniors from across the community on pedal powered trishaw rides along the beach and through the woods.
The film was shot on the streets and bike paths of Santa Barbara, California. After a World Premiere at the Danish Film Institute in Copenhagen, the film had its U.S. Premiere at the Indy Shorts International Film Festival, where it won their inaugural Lens of Hope Award. It has since screened at over 40 film festivals and grassroots events from New Zealand to Canada to Portugal.
A Q&A session with Seigel-Bottner and Jacob Seigle Brielle, co-founder and producer of Pedal Born Pictures, will follow the viewing.
The screening and reception are free for all attendees.
