BRIDGEWATER, VA (Rocktown Now) — Dr. Leona Sevick, provost and executive vice president of Bridgewater College, has announced four new full-time faculty members who are joining the BC community this fall.
Dr. Saif Huq joins the Coffman School of Natural Sciences as Assistant Professor of Engineering. Huq was previously Assistant Professor at York College of Pennsylvania. He holds a Ph.D. in control systems engineering from University of Sheffield and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in applied physics and electronics.
Dr. Judy Ko joins the Coffman School of Natural Sciences as Practitioner in Residence in Biology. Ko was previously a physician at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Va. She holds an M.D. from Jefferson Medical College, a master’s in public health and a B.S. in life science.
Gene Stainback gained faculty status in the Coffman School of Natural Sciences as Practitioner in Residence in Engineering. Stainback has served as Lab Manager in the department since 2024 and was previously Director of Engineering at Leidos, a defense contractor. He holds a B.S. in engineering from James Madison University.
Dr. Sandy Zook joins the Nolen School of Business and Professional Studies as Assistant Professor of Business Administration. Zook was previously Assistant Professor at University of Colorado Denver. She holds a Ph.D. in public policy from Georgia State University and a master’s in public administration from University of Kansas.
