The Page County Sheriff’s office says the search for Emeka Kolo ended successfully at approximately 09:16am. Kolo was located by a K9 search team off a trail near Kennedy’s peak after cell phone data indicated that the cell phone was in this area.
Kolo was located several hundred feet over the side of the mountain and had to be extracted by search and rescue crews. Kolo was found disoriented and transported to Page Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
LURAY, Va. — Page County sheriff Chad Cubbage says residents can expect a heavy police presence today along Route 684 north of Luray as rescue teams search for a missing man.

Yesterday, Page County authorities said that Emeka Kolo, a 50-year-old Black man from England, was reported missing.
Today, Cubbage said that ground searches are underway for Mr. Kolo involving K-9s, boats, drones and aircraft. He advises drivers to proceed with caution along Page County Road.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Page County Sheriff’s Office.
