DAYTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — Dayton police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred Wednesday evening.

At approximately 7:20 PM, a silver Honda was involved in a collision with another vehicle at 450 Thompson Street. The driver of the Honda fled the scene immediately following the crash, leaving behind no contact information.

Police are actively investigating the incident and urge anyone who may recognize the vehicle or have information about the driver to come forward. If you can identify the owner or operator of the silver Honda, please contact the on-duty officer at 540-434-4436.
