HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Near-normal temperatures and predominantly dry weather are expected to persist across the Shenandoah Valley throughout the week, thanks to high pressure extending southward from eastern Canada. Most areas will remain dry today, but the chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase by midweek as onshore flow strengthens and a broad low-pressure system begins to form along the southeastern U.S. coast. This low-pressure system is forecast to linger near the coastal Carolinas, maintaining the possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms into the upcoming weekend.
