HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – High pressure will remain near the Shenandoah Valley today, positioned just ahead of a cold front that is expected to slowly drift south across the Mid-Atlantic region tonight through Friday. As this front moves through, a stronger high-pressure system will build into the area over the weekend, bringing a noticeable shift in the weather pattern.
The persistent heat and humidity will begin to break on Friday, giving way to more comfortable conditions. Temperatures will drop into the 70s during the day through the weekend and into the early part of next week, offering a welcome reprieve from the recent warmth.
Overnight lows will also cool significantly, dipping into the upper 50s. This will bring back ideal “open-window” weather—perfect for enjoying fresh air and a restful night’s sleep.
