Highlights
• Neither team put up any runs in the first two innings, but in the bottom of the third, it was Nick Arnold who got things started for the Royals with a sacrifice fly out to center field, scoring Dylan Hall and giving EMU a 1-0 lead. Then, Natty Solomon would single to left, picking up an RBI as Ethan Spraker scored.

• Fulwood, who had been scoreless through three, gave up three in the fourth before picking up a flyout to end the frame, and his day. Alec Riles replaced Fulwood in the fifth but didn’t record an out and giving up four runs. Will Waller came in to replace Riles and pitched the next three innings.

• In the bottom of the seventh inning the Royals, trailing the Quakers 11-2, EMU was able to cut into the lead with a three spot. Logan Mason scored on a double from Spraker. Arnold then smashed a home run over the left field fence for a pair of RBI and an 11-5 score.

• In the eighth, Guilford was able to tack on four more to put the game out of reach. But EMU kept fighting, as they plated two in the bottom of the inning. Dylan Cassell and Mason both drove in runs for EMU in the frame. Karson Jennings pitched a scoreless ninth but EMU would go down in order to end the game.
