Shenandoah National Forest will hold a public meeting in mid-April where folks can learn the fate of the Old Rag visitor ticketing program.
The virtual meeting is set for the evening of April 17th at 7 o’clock. Park leadership and staff will evaluate the program using data collected since its rollout last March.
Visitors to the Old Rag portion of the park have been limited to 800 patrons per day. Tickets are required for entry, and must be purchased ahead of time.
Park superintendent Patrick Kenney previously told WSVA that the goal is to reduce congestion and conserve the natural beauty at Old Rag.
A link for the meeting is available on the National Park Service website.
