WEYERS CAVE VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – An early morning fire destroyed a Weyers Cave home Sunday.  According to the Weyers Cave Fire Company, they received a call for a confirmed structure fire at 68 Blue Stone Dr in Weyers Cave. Engine 52 arrived on location to find heavy fire coming from the residence and through the roof. No one was home when the fire started.  There were no injuries. The fire was under control within 30 minutes and all units were clear the scene just before 4am.

The WCFC was assisted by Augusta County Emergency Communications Center, Augusta County Fire-Rescue, Verona Fire Company, Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company, New Hope Vol. Department, Grottoes Volunteer Fire Department, Grottoes Rescue Squad & Bridgewater Rescue Squad. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Virginia State Police.
