ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) – The Honorable Chaz W. Haywood, Clerk of the Rockingham County Circuit Court, has been appointed by Governor Glenn Youngkin to serve on the State Historical Records Advisory Board. This distinguished appointment positions Clerk Haywood at the forefront of efforts to preserve and expand access to nearly 250 years of Virginia’s archival materials.
A longtime advocate for preservation and public access, Clerk Haywood believes that serving the community and Commonwealth extends far beyond the walls of the Rockingham County Circuit Courthouse. His extensive experience in preserving and digitizing records, combined with his dedication to safeguarding Virginia’s documentary heritage, makes him a valuable asset to the board.
