HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – The record high for this date was 82 back in 1986. We may surpass that record today, or come close. A southerly flow of air will continue to help temperatures rise into the upper 70’s and low 80’s over parts of the Shenandoah Valley. A cold front will bring a chance for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight. While the chance for severe weather is low, we could see some gusty winds and downpours. The front is expected to stall just north of the valley Thursday and stay close into the upcoming weekend, bring a daily chance for showers and more thunderstorms.
