HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for today from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. According to the NWS, heat index values around 100F are expected. Today will be a lot like Thursday, temperatures will reach the mid 90’s again with the threat of strong thunderstorms. A cold front will come through Friday night, lowering temperatures for Saturday in the mid 80’s and lower humidity. Temperatures near 90 return Sunday along with the chance for some late day thunderstorms
