HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – An area of extreme heat and humidity, now over the Plains and Midwest, will move east over the next two days. Temperatures will soar to near 100 degrees starting Wednesday. Combined with the increase in humidity, heat indices will reach over 100 degrees from Wednesday and continuing into the upcoming Independence Day weekend. Relief from the extreme heat won’t arrive until the first of next week.
