WOODSTOCK VA: (Rocktown Now) – In Shenandoah County, Virginia, Response, Inc. plays a central role in addressing domestic and sexual violence, especially during Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness Month in October. Becky Wood, with Response, talks about the organization and the issue of sexual and domestic violence in Shenandoah County and Virginia. Founded in 1980, Response is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors through advocacy, education, outreach, and confidential services. They operate a 20-bed emergency shelter and provide resources for both in-shelter and out-of-shelter clients.
