The Bridgewater College baseball team landed a spot in the NCAA regionals for the first time since 2014 and the first time under Ben Spott’s tenure. The Eagles will face Scranton in a double-elimination format in the Washington and Jefferson regional in Washington, Pa., beginning on Friday, May 15.

The Rockingham County School Board unanimously approved a four-year contract for Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett.
According to JMU officials, the university will confer 4,211 undergraduate degrees and 526 graduate degrees.
VMRC will acquire Park Woods, a 13-acre oak-hickory forest it shares with EMU.
On June 5 and 6, 2026, The Golden Pony will host farewell showcases of bands and DJs with more details to be revealed at a later date.
The program is for HCPS students in grades kindergarten through second.
