
Area High School Volleyball Scoreboard – Thursday, 10/9

Kennedy Louisell finished with 17 kills and hit .484 (17-2-31) as James Madison volleyball won its fourth straight match with a sweep of Marshall on Thursday night at the Convocation Center.

Instead of a match on Homecoming this year, the Royals women’s volleyball team kicked off the festivities with a Thursday night matchup, taking on first-year program Sweet Briar. EMU made quick work of the Vixens, picking up a 3-0 (25-11, 25-8, 25-11) win in a non-ODAC match.

The Bridgewater College women’s soccer team fell 2-0 to Shenandoah Wednesday night.

The Royals women’s soccer team headed south on Wednesday to Salem, for an ODAC matchup against Roanoke. The Maroons used three goals in the first half, and held EMU to just one second half goal, en route to a 4-1 win.

Area High School Volleyball Scoreboard – Tuesday, 10/7

After three straight road matches, the Royals returned home on Tuesday to take on Randolph Macon in a midweek ODAC matchup. It was a tightly contested match with a lot of back-and-forth, but ultimately it was RMC who picked up the 3-1 (25-17, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22) win.

Kennedy Louisell and Ayen Nhial of James Madison volleyball took home weekly Sun Belt honors, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.

The Royals had their home ODAC opener on Tuesday, welcoming in the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan to Harrisonburg. VWU scored at least one goal in all four quarters, en route to a 5-0 win over EMU.

After another standout weekend, Madelief Molier of James Madison field hockey was named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
