
Rockingham County Public Schools, Rocktown History, and the Moton Museum will host an event to honor civil rights pioneers who fought for equal access to public education in Virginia.

The City of Harrisonburg’s Public Works Department is currently accepting comments on the Chesapeake Bay TMDL Action Plan. The deadline for comments is May 14.

According to City Sheriff Chris Hartless, the office is receiving reports that community members are receiving phone calls that the Staunton Sheriff” is saying that they missed jury duty and now owe a specified amount of money to avoid going to jail.

At around 10:15am, the Staunton Police Department posted a community alert that several downtown traffic lights were knocked out of commission by an unspecified issue with an electrical transformer.

The survey results will be implemented during the Virginia Economic Summit on December 5, 2025, while presenting policy recommendations.
