New JMU engineering concentrations offered to enhance job readiness

The new concentrations allow students to take 15 elective credits and focus on Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Systems and Geo-Environmental Engineering. They also allow students to tailor their degree to their interests and career goals while obtaining specialized knowledge and skills to meet job market demands.

RCPS Board votes to pull ‘Allegedly’ and ‘Looking for Alaska’ from school libraries

At their meeting Monday night, the Rockingham County School Board voted 4-1 to remove ‘Allegedly,’ by Tiffany Jackson, countering the recommendation from Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett’s content review committee to retain the book. Board member Jackie Lohr cast the lone dissenting vote.
