Community members are invited to recognize donors, volunteers, students, and businesses whose generosity and service have made a meaningful impact in the Shenandoah Valley. Nominations close at 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

“Block Party in the ‘Burg” will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Downtown Harrisonburg.

The Food Drive will be collecting donated canned goods at Turner Ashby September 19th, Spotswood September 26th, and at Broadway October 3rd.

Wayne Hills Preschool Center’s Amanda DePoy was among a select group of educators from across the state who were given the opportunity to present research and practicum projects to fellow trainers and VDOE leaders.

The service will be held on Saturday, August 16th at John C. Myers Elementary School at 6pm. Family, friends, colleagues, former students, community members, and all others who knew her are invited.

Mount Horeb United Methodist Church in Dayton will hold their 150th Homecoming Celebration, Sunday, August 10th.
