NELSON COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Waynesboro man was found dead on Monday in Nelson County.

At around 6:49 in the morning, Sheriff Mark Embrey says deputies were dispatched to Lake Nelson in Arrington for a report of a vehicle that was partially submerged in the water.

Upon arrival shortly after 7 o’clock, authorities discovered the vehicle approximately thirty yards from the public-access boat ramp and, with help from the Virginia State Police Dive Unit and the Wintergreen Fire and Rescue’s Swift Water Rescue Unit, extricated it from the water.

Inside, deputies found a deceased man identified as Graham Isaac Bolter from Waynesboro.

The body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Richmond as part of the investigation.
