ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Virginia State Police are investigating a head-on crash that occurred early Saturday morning that left three people with serious injuries.

VSP says at approximately 12:40 am a 2025 Toyota RAV4 was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Spotswood Trail in Rockingham County when it struck a 2022 Toyota Highlander head-on.

Both drivers and a passenger in the Highlander were all flown to UVA Medical Center with serious life-threatening injuries.

Police say the crash remains under investigation.
