HENRICO, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, along with the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia, has awarded 203-thousand dollars in funding to support outdoor recreation and conservation partners across the state.
Among those receiving the grants include the North River Neighbors Alliance chapter of the Friends of the Shenandoah River, the Augusta Bird Club and the National Wildlife Federation.
The grants provide funding to organizations with a common mission of connecting people to the outdoors and supports activities such as archery, fishing, hunting and recreational shooting as well as wildlife viewing.
