WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — A trial date has been set for the Waynesboro woman charged in a road rage incident last fall.

Online records showed that a September 11, 2026, trial date was set for April Riddle during a plea hearing Wednesday morning in Waynesboro Circuit Court.

The 50-year-old Riddle was indicted by a grand jury last month on two charges, including malicious wounding and drug possession.

Officers were dispatched at around noon on November 15, 2025, in the 1000 block of East Main Street for a report of a road rage incident.

When they arrived, officers saw a man retreating in the middle of the road from a woman wielding a knife in one hand and a stun gun in the other.

Riddle complied with officers’ commands to drop the weapons and was arrested.
