HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Rockingham Harrisonburg SPCA (RHSPCA) celebrated the ribbon cutting ceremony of the brand-new Veterinary Care Center on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Harrisonburg Mayor Deanna Reed spoke at the event and said that when a pet needs care, that matters to the person who loves them too and that is what makes the Veterinary Care Center so meaningful.

“It will strengthen the care available to shelter animals and create opportunities to help pet owners before a difficult situation becomes a crisis,” said Mayor Reed.

Mayor Reed continued by saying that is an investment in prevention, stronger services, and a long-term solution for the entire community.
