ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A domestic incident over the weekend in Rockingham County landed one woman in the hospital and a teen in custody.
Rockingham County Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson reported that deputies responded Saturday evening to the 4500 Block of Magnolia Ridge Drive for a reported stabbing.
Hutcheson stated that a 43-year-old woman was stabbed during a domestic incident at her home.
She was transported to UVA Hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries and is now reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect, who is a family member, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.
She is being held at the Shenandoah Valley Detention Center without bond at this time.
