ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution opposing congressional redistricting.

The resolution was read and passed at last night’s meeting.

The resolution opened with congressional redistricting has significant consequences for the ability of communities to elect representatives who understand and are familiar with their values, priorities and regional needs.

Meanwhile, the Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors also passed a resolution this week opposing the April 21st redistricting referendum.

However, the board did not tell the county’s registrar to halt early voting.
