MOUNT JACKSON, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Town of Mount Jackson has announced that Councilwoman Bonnie Good has submitted her resignation from Town Council, effective last Wednesday, December 9th.

According to the online statement, Good was first elected to the Town Council in 2018 where she oversaw the essential operations of Mount Jackson’s water, sewer, and sanitation systems as Chairperson of the Public Services Committee.

Most recently, she was a member of the Public Safety Committee.

No reason for Good’s departure was given.

Her term was set to expire in 2026.

Mount Jackson is now actively seeking applications from individuals seeking to fill the vacancy on the Council, now through January 2nd.
