HARRISONBURG, Va. (JMU Athletics) – James Madison quarterback Camden Coleman has been named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Coleman finished 24-of-42 for 243 yards and four touchdowns in the Dukes’ 46-20 win at Old Dominion in the Townebank Royal Rivalry last weekend. He completed his first nine passes of the game and 14 of his first 15.

The Winston-Salem, North Carolina, native connected with four different receivers for touchdowns and added 17 yards with his legs on eight attempts, helping the Dukes improve to 4-0 for the sixth time in the last seven seasons.

Coleman has completed 62.1% of his passes (59/95) for 716 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception this season. He also has 49 rushing yards and a score on the ground.

The weekly honor is the third of Coleman’s career but first at JMU. He was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week on two occasions during his time at Richmond (2023-24).

Coleman also is the third Duke to garner Sun Belt weekly accolades this season, as punter Patrick Rea (Sept. 21) and wide receiver Michael Scott (Sept. 14) were named the league’s special teams player of the week in the past two weeks.

Up next, the Dukes return home to take on Marshall on Saturday at Bridgeforth Stadium as the kickoff is set for 3:45 p.m., ET, and you can listen to the game on the JMU Radio Network.
